"Stayed here with my family and overall the property itself is decent, but the experience after checkout was very disappointing. We were charged $500 for carpet cleaning due to a small food stain (blueberries). While I acknowledge the stain occurred, the charge was completely disproportionate. A full carpet steam clean was done by an external contractor at a cost of $500, with no attempt to consider a more reasonable solution like spot cleaning. I raised this professionally and requested a fair review, but the hotel refused to reconsider and closed the matter without any flexibility. Also, during the stay, the room was not properly cleaned on one occasion and we had to raise it. It was improved the next day, but it should not have happened in the first place. Overall, the property is fine, but the way issues are handled — especially charging excessive cleaning fees — is disappointing. Would recommend future guests to be cautious."

"The property was amazing with such beautiful views, gorgeous and spacious rooms and so much to do just onsite. It’s the best place to stay in Mudgee. The slight downside was that parts of it were not as clean as you’d imagine, especially the sauna which had dust and cobwebs that I could easily spot. The bed head top had a layer of dust too, so it needs some love in terms of cleanliness, otherwise a great property."
