The family that runs this hotel really makes it special. The property is absolutely gorgeous, the pool is fantastic, and the free coffee/water in the lobby is a huge plus. I absolutely loved staying here, it is truly a calm, historical oasis right in the hustle and bustle of the French Quarter/Bourbon St.
Lovely, unique property which provided a special experience of New Orleans for us. Sounds from nearby Bourbon Street did not infiltrate into our room at night which had been a concern. The room was cool and comfortable even on a hot week in summer and the pool was nice to relax in during the evening. A peaceful and elegant place to stay; we would certainly book again.
This was the coolest hotel room we have ever stayed in!!! The staff was super friendly and helpful and everything was spotless clean. Beautiful property!! I recommend the suites, you wont be disappointed. Love this place!
Every little thing about this property was amazing. The history, the uniqueness, the room, the staff, the cats! The views from level three and four. Maybe even ghosts(which we did not encounter). Location was perfect! 108 was spacious and nice and cool. If ever to return, we will DEFINITELY stay there again, even if there are so many other unique stay options. I think we were most disappointed to leave the property over visiting NOLA in general.
I love staying here! The staff are always friendly and the cats make it feel like home. The room I stay in is charming and fits perfectly with the French Quarter atmosphere. It is also within walking distance of everything; restaurants, pubs, shopping, museums/sights, and the street trains.
Loads of history and charm. The staff was super helpful, valet parking was nice. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Rates were a great value to be in the French Quarter.
So. I read all the reviews before we went. I was a bit worried, but know some people are picky. First yes they have cats in the main areas. But this is an old house they arnt running throughout the hotel. I'm not a cat person but they were cute and we liked seeing where they were hanging out daily. Our room was a balcony you will be near Bourbon bring your ear plugs you'll be fine. Plus sitting on the balcony watching the chaos is fun. N.O people watching us a whole other level lol. If you go in realizing this is an early 1800s home you'll be fine. Elevator is an experience lol Would 100% book again. Even with the upstairs room trying to compete in the WWE the last night. ❤️
The room was absolutely stunning! I had a balcony and so I was able to sit out outside and enjoy the views and sounds of the city. The balcony was semiprivate, I think I shared with one other room. The staff was very friendly. I had to valet park and anytime I needed to get my car they were very quick about that. The property was really quiet to say that it was as close as it was to the bourbon Street. Occasionally, we’d hear loud music from a passing car, but that ended after a while as they shut the street down at a certain time of night. The only complaint that I have is that it was a little confusing to get to the rooms, but once you get to your room that first time you don’t get lost. I definitely got lost twice trying to get to the room the first night.

It’s a historic building around the corner from bourbon street. It is as great for what we needed which was a place for a night near good food and entertainment. They have a nice little set up of coffee and tea with snacks that you can take. Nice pool and overall a solid place to stay. If you are looking dor for luxury this ain’t the spot it’s affordable clean and has a great location.
Everything was perfect!!! However I was traveling with my 67 yo disabled cousin, and we felt it safest NOT to use the shower, which had no hand grips or floor grips- marble and water super slippery. Be careful.
However, this was the one and only thing rest. Everything was perfect. Please make that very clear.
This was the most beautiful and unique hotel I’ve ever stayed at. It felt like being taken back in time. The parlor rooms, the court yards, the guest rooms, all so beautiful. The pool was like swimming in a secret lagoon fountain. The staff were so friendly and helpful, with everything from small talk in the mornings to holding our bags after checkout before our plane left. The locations was perfect, by everything but still quiet. And of course a quiet coffee with the cats in the parlor in the mornings was the absolute best. 100/10, never have had a better experience.
Very unique and beautifully preserved property full of that New Orleans charm you look for when visiting the city. Will definitely return another stay!
This property far exceeded my expectations!!! It has that New Orleans style, vibe that makes you feel like you’re transported back in time. I am making this my favorite place to stay going forward.
We had a wonderful stay at the Olivier. Unfortunately, we had to leave one day early due to a family emergency. The staff was so kind and accommodating and went above and beyond to help us in our difficult time. I would absolutely come back based on this alone, but the hotel was charming and close to everything. Thank you to John, in particular. 💜
