"The hotel is in a great location… Every staff member that we interacted with was friendly and polite and kind and seemed genuinely excited about doing their job… Which is incredible considering that the hotel was sold out for the weekend very busy at a very busy time of year and everybody was lovely and pleasant. Colette at the front desk… Katie in the Roxy club and bar… Timothy has a bartender at the oyster bar and Derek and Roger as front doorman and luggage assistance. "

"First trip to NYC staying in a hotel. I was very impressed with the cleanliness and hospitality of the staff. Was the cheapest option amongst other hotels that were $1k+ but all had terrible reviews. This place was great, tucked away in a seemingly nice location with plenty of great food options and stores around as it’s right on the border of Chinatown and Little Italy. Room was spacious and bathroom was very accommodating. Will definitely be staying here again! "

"Excellent hotel, staff are fabulous, room was on 18th floor with perfect views. Fridge was so handy, room had a steamer which was great, an umbrella and separate facilities for recycling. Cant fault the hotel, only the bar upstairs which isn't affiliated with the hotel so no blame can be laid at their feet. If you go to The Crown, check your drinks bill before you pay!"

"The Merchant is a beautiful hotel. My room on the 15th floor had the most incredible full window views. It is very quiet. The rooms are modern and somewhat sparse, could use a few water glasses and an amenity kit in the bathroom. Well outfitted gym in the basement. Given the recent ownership change, it felt like I was the only guest staying there... think they are getting back on their footing. No complaints, other than it being eerily empty of other hotel guests. "
