Hotel located in shady unsafe area. Hotel doesn’t own a parking lot so the only options were to pay $30 to third party valet located on the same lot or park free on the streets at your own risk. This information was not provided on Expedia website so be aware. Staff unwilling to take responsibility for unexpected fees. Breakfast buffet was awful.

I booked this hotel for one reason only: the airport shuttle. Unfortunately, that turned out to be a complete failure. After arriving, I went to the designated pickup area and called the hotel multiple times requesting the shuttle. Each time, I was told it would arrive in “15 minutes.” I waited there for over 2 hours in extreme cold weather, repeatedly calling back, and every time it felt like they had no record of my previous calls. I had to explain the situation from scratch each time, only to be given the same response. The shuttle never came. Eventually, I had no choice but to take an expensive airport taxi just to get to the hotel. This completely defeated the purpose of choosing this property in the first place. Very disappointing experience, poor communication, and zero reliability. I would not trust their shuttle service—or stay here again.

It was a nice quick one night stay, didn’t get the chance to try out the breakfast, but clean spacious room and worth the money for a quick getaway. Friendly staff for the most part, this is a valet parking lot though so they hold your keys for you overnight.

Clean rooms and helpful staff - only concern was directions on how/where to catch shuttle….but we do eventually figure that out. Breakfast area was nice and spacious - we were able to DoorDash meals and sit out in the open area and eat at the tables without being cramped in rooms. Was bummed the restaurant wasn’t open - but they had some great recommendations that delivered and were yummy. Great stay for the price!!

I would rate the room relatively clean, but laminate floor felt "sticky." There are no restaurants in this district, but that's somewhat the reality in that part of Newark near the airport. Douglas at the front desk is keeping the place running, and friendly and supportive, but as an outsider, the management and ownership has a real problem in this location for travelers. Probably Comfort Inn itself, not even the management. They advertise hotel shuttle but that's a half truth. Left me standing there at airport for over an hour. They probably aren't paying for fees to be a real hotel shuttle at the airtran. They are using snap parking next door to do this but it is not stated in advertisement, or receipt, and snap is not a regular hotel pickup. You have to call them(SNAP, not comfort inn) and tell them to pick you up at a particular post in the terminal not the hotel shuttle location as a result. Snap drove right past me until another company said tried calling them. Because this is non sanctioned way of handling this, no signage or officials at the airport will give you any clue, and nothing in the receipt has any info. You will be stranded, waiting there. Other commenters share the same story.

Worst hotel I ever stayed in and I travel a lot! Upon arrival, the only attendant at the front desk said this hotel is a train wreck. We have no water, no drinks. Nothing in the vending machines. Nothing for purchase to snack on. She told me she was more worried about her Amazon order! The coffee pot only brewed lukewarm coffee, decaffeinated at that, which was your only selection. Holes in the bath towels. Dirty floor in our room. Didn’t see any bed bugs so there is a positive. Do not recommend this hotel at all! If I could get my money back, I certainly would and have went anywhere else, but it was 2am due to a canceled flight.

Our first impressions were not wonderful! It took 45 minutes for the shuttle to pick us up at the airport. When we arrived at the hotel, we discovered that there was no food amenities on site. We would have to place order for takeout! There was no place to eat our takeout except on our beds! We also went for a walk and the neighbourhood is subpar and possibly dangerous with needles on the road. Wear breakfast this morning with far from acceptable. There was a little to no food available. We had to ask for syrup and she gave us one for a family. There was no fruit. There was no yogurt. There was no butter! Far from acceptable when they see the only feature.

Muy bonito refaccionado. Todo de buena calidad. El personal de reception muy atento, como asi tambien quien nos llevo las valijas à la habitacion .En la habitacion habia una parte del piso que no estaba reparada, faltabà la cortina de tela ( o son solo dos?) Sugiero que hayan indicaciones para el encendido y funcionamiento del televisor. Este no puede rotarse ni un poco, lo cual no es comodo de ver ni desde la cama ni desde el sillon. El dispenser de champu estaba vacio. En el desayuno à las 8:45 a.m no habia yogurt ni leche en la jarra, ni yogurt, tampoco panificados dulces, solamente pan blanco y tortillas. No habia fruta, ni avena. Cuando pedimos yogurt se nos dio. En las papas no habia salchichas. Era solo papas. Ante el requerimiento acerca de lo que faltaba la persona encargada dijo que estaba sola. El hotel es hermoso, pero el tema del desayuno es muy importante para el pasajero. No puede haber una sola persona ni faltar fruta, otros panificados, ni leche o yogurt en la heladera.

The problem was the airport pickup. First, the note they send you with you resy directs you to the wrong vestibule #. Luckily I was paying attention when I called for pickup and noted the discrepency between the written directions and where the desk clerk directed me. I reconfirmed I was at the right one on several subsequent calls. Why the frequent subsequent calls? Because the freaking shuttle never came! Initialy was told 10-15'. When I called back after 20', was told it looked like the shuttle was at the next terminal over and would arrive soon. 15' later still no shuttle. Called again. "Maybe it was full and went back... should be there soon..." 20' later still nothing. Lyft time. So I got to the hotel after midnight, 90' after going to the curb, exhausted. No apology. Nothing.

Checkin Staff was awesome. She apologized for things outside of her controln The room needed repairs. The ceiling paint was peeling. Parking: Considering I could have stayed closer to the airport, paying for parking was a no. Additional it was 20 minutes or more to check in or out to get your car. Efficient was extremely low priority. Airport bus also blocked in and out creating safety challenges. Amenities The bar was closed because of staffing. Check out was not so good and the manager was on staff. I am not likely to stay here. Just book closer to airport the 10 or 15 dollars is not enough for inconvenience.
