Welcoming and friendly staff ,clean room similar to prem inn in design. Breakfast at £11.00 is not really worth it . The primary care centre near by does a full English for £6.00 far beter. Bar food though is good and if you want a bit of class trir Thai restaurant is excellent.

We spent three nights at the Highfield and found everything perfect. Room was comfortable and clean, breakfast was great and the staff were so friendly. Also loved the Tai restaurant attached. Food was amazing.

A very pleasant surprise, the room was great, being a Thai restaurant the evening meal was good and different to the standard hotel fayre and all the staff were very friendly. I'll happily stay here again.

Really nice place, food was amazing. Staff friendly. Room ok. Needs a new bed. Not as clean in the bathroom as I would have expected. Stains on the mirror. In saying all that I would stay there again.

Lovely attentive staff, bar and restaurant busy but atmospheric which was lovely, food good. Hotel room ok, so hot couldn't sleep had to turn Radiators down and open the window, but then we heard the noise of the traffic unfortunately both my husband and I hardly slept! 6 am someone was emptying bottles into the recycling bins which woke us up yet again, never managed to get off again.

Fire and no staff to assist with guests

There was a fire in the hotel. There was no night staff to alert us. We all came out of the hotel and stood out front and the group call the fire brigade as they had not been called. Rooms stank of smoke and no one to speak with. I left very early after having the window open and door to the corridor after the fire was put out. No contact form the hotel. Nothing. Dangerous and unprofessional circumstances
