"Our stay has been pleasant. The staffs' English proficiency is quite well, at least we are able to communicate well. The environment is very good, quiet and clean. It's located in an area nearing a lot of famous restaurants and shops. The room is also quite big for such a price. I would love to stay here again if I visit Kyoto next time."

"The owners were so lovely and allowed us to store our luggage when we arrived early, as well as after checkout. The breakfast each day was delicious and different than anything we've ever had before, so we felt lucky to experience a traditional Japanese Ryokan breakfast. We really appreciated the tea each day and the beds were so comfortable. It was especially hot outside and we were so grateful for the good air conditioning in the room. I would recommend anyone to stay here."

The attached restaurant had amazing coffee and great breakfast for the days when I didn’t want to think about where to eat in the morning. "The check-in took a very long time which I am still puzzled why! The picture of the hotel is very misleading. In expedia site, it gave the impression of beautiful green hills.
