"The staff were all very professional and nice from the valet parking, registration, etc. We got a King Size bedroom. We were offered a better option for additional amount but declined. It was one of the older non renovated rooms and I am with, in preserving the character but the closet door handle doesn’t even work. "Be aware they charge a city convenience fee that includes Wi-Fi. Dry cleaning and other miscellaneous things I did not need or utilize. When I ask if this could be waived, they said no that the “state” apply these chargers.
I enjoyed my time in Chicago, but will be asking for hidden fees. The next time I stay in downtown Chicago."

"I understand that this is a historic property built in 1893 and it definitely has that charm, but the upkeep and amenities were surprisingly lacking. My curtains didn't close in my room, the paint in stairwells was peeling off the walls and the shower head and shower curtain hooks were cheap plastic. Dresser was cheap and peeling as well, small refrigerator barely worked.
Again, I know a lot of what you are paying for is location as well but I was surprised at the lack of upkeep."
