"Wonderful hotel in UNBEATABLE location and service. All the reviews regarding the old European luxury feel are very true. Hotel is part of a huge mall building (Q Square) and also part of the Taipei Main Station underground. There are countless shops, convenient stores, and restaurants within 2-5 minutes walking distance.
Service: EXCELLENT
Upon arrival, the concierge and reception teams provided extra courteous and attentive service. We found the restaurant service to be outstanding as well later. Special shout out to front desk manager Chris and restaurant manager Ellen.
Amenities: OK
Hotel has a very simple gym located on 17th floor. There is also a lounge for guests on the top few executive floors. There is no swimming pool or spa.
Rooms: Needs improvement. The BEST thing is the soundproofing. I see traffic on the street by the hotel but I don't hear it. My sister is extremely sensitive to noises, so we really liked this. We disliked the layout of the rooms with the vanity in the room and no separately enclosed bathroom. Plus the toilet room glass door is frosted but not the shower, doesn't make sense. There is also a soaking tub by the entrance. You can pull a curtain around the entire bathtub, shower and toilet area but it's awkward and takes up so much space when it can be improved by simply frosting the shower glass door enclosure. Also, it's difficult and confusing to control the lighting and the AI is not helpful, although it is cool"
