Hunters Lodge Inn
10/10 Excellent
"Nice to have a late check in option. The 10pm cut off came in really handy for me. Lovely cooked and cold breakfast options. Room was great, bottle of water were a lovely touch. I wasn’t expecting housekeeping on day one of a two day stay, I didn’t need anything but nice to have the option. Lovely place and people thank you "

Best Western Shaftesbury The Royal Chase Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"We were very happy with our stay, chose this hotel because of it's location, easy walk into Shaftesbury and gold hill, and next day to stourhead national trust. The room was very clean and everything worked ok but the room decor reflected the 3 star rating, but the bar and dinning areas were more like 4/5 star and also the food and service one of the best Sunday carveries ever, would return just for that, and then to top that the full English breakfast wow, that was definitely 5 star, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the hotel has a large car park area which is shared by day visitors for restaurant and swimming pool which is free to guests, although the building looks a little tired we would use again because of the price, The only suggestion I would make is to separate the guests parking area from visitors . Crown Hotel
8/10 Good
"Unfortunately the family room was right above the main bar so very noisy until after 11am"

The Hunters Moon
8/10 Good
"Lovely atmosphere in old styled pub. Good food and menu"

Holbrook Manor & Spa.
4/10 Poor
"disabled parking 2 very small spaces in an enclosed courtyard quite tight .hot tub was out of order. lots of steps as well as the mentioned creaky wooden stairs. check-in is right opposite the swimming pool entrance in the same aera as club entrance so wet & slippy floor and crowded blocking access. room was drab and dated empty for the size .noise level of neighbours and any movement in hallway echoed. bed was very uncomfortable lumpy. shower didn't drain and overflowed. wooden toilet seat that pushed flush button when seated."

La Fleur de Lys
10/10 Excellent
"Booked an overnight stay and dinner for my birthday. Perfect location for a stroll around Shaftesbury with parking, but we booked because of the hotel restaurant. Room was clean, cosy and comfortable, the hotel had character. The restaurant was excellent, with faultless service from the time we spent in the bar deciding on our choices to coffee and petit fours there after dinner. Great food and very good value. My venison was excellent and the wine of the month a great recommendation. Breakfast was exceptional - plenty of choice and prepared to order. Very happy to recommend."

King John Inn
10/10 Excellent
"Charming inn. Food, staff very good. "

The Kings Arms
10/10 Excellent
"The breakfast was, I’d say, better than in a Hotel Ibis. The food was, definitely, locally sourced.
We reached Bruton and the Hauser & Wirth arts complex easily from this hotel.
We also visited the Jurassic Coast, but that took us a whole day, and we returned by 10pm."

The Anvil Inn
10/10 Excellent
"The owners were lovely and welcoming. Nothing was a problem and the entire vibe was just lush and wholesome. ❤️"
