"We have stayed at this hotel for years. They have let it degrade to the point where we will never stay there again. There was a water leak in the bathroom, there was no hot water in the sink. The toilet shifted every time you sat on it. the carpet made our feet black. The staff was very unfriendly and almost non existent. We are so disappointed as we love Tahoe City and this hotel used to be a great place. We will never be back and would not encourage anyone to stay here."

"Oven didn't work, upper front door hinge very loose, bathroom fan without cover and motor is filthy! Won't ever stay again."

"The reservation was made though Utopia/ Expedia and the Ivy hotel could not get verification of the reservation to make a change in the party’s name so the reservation had to be done again directly through the hotel and it was more expensive. Two days later the reservation was also processed by Expedia, doubling the cost. That transaction is being disputed."
