"My Mom and I stayed at the Surfsand Resort over Mothers Day weekend. Overall a very nice place to stay. Staff is wonderful and amenities very nice. My only issue was our ocean view room. We stayed in the Northern most building and the hedge/bushes were totally blocking any view towards the North and the building to the south was located much further out than ours so there was no view toward the South. The view straight out was good (some bushes blocking the beach view). We were on the first floor, higher rooms may have had a better view to the North. Paying close to 900 dollars for 2 nights and booking an oceanfront room it was very disappointing. Those rooms should be called partial view rooms."

"The hotel was nice, although from the pictures we assumed we were on the beach but we were actually across the street. They cancelled our reservation because we didnt arrive till after midnight but expedia said check in was till any time. So that was annoying because they had to take like 30 min making a new reservation and im pretty sure we didnt get as nice of a room as I had booked originally. Check out is 12 so that was really refreshing. The hot tub was very nice."

"Very much appreciated the upgrade so that I could stay on the first floor. Didn’t realize there was no A/C, but able to open windows so definitely helped. I ended up needing a blanket overnight. The shower area was a bit small for me, but it did the job. Location is awesome! "

"Lucky enough to be able to check in early. Front desk clerks were very pleasant and helpful. Room was clean. Enjoyed the fire pit at night. Breakfast was pretty good. Location was awesome! Would definitely stay again. "

"The staff was friendly and helpful. There was coffee/tea/hot beverages available in the lobby. The beachfront location is great! There's also a supermarket directly across the street and a Moe's restaurant next to the hotel. All good. We happened to be staying in Building 2, which was in the process of being repaved. Loud and smelly. The person above us decided a little after 5 AM to get his 2000 steps in. We heard them all. We couldn't figure out how to divert the water from the tub spout to the shower head. We twisted, pushed and pulled on every available knob and handle. The washcloths came in handy. The bed and the room were comfortable. I would recommend staying on the top floor with shower instructions upon arrival. They probably won't be paving the parking lot soon, so ..."

"Our check in was fine. Friendly staff. The only thing I would say is that it was not clear we were booking a dog friendly room or not. The site said dog friendly but was not listed on the room selection. We have a German Shepherd service dog and all was fine but we would have preferred to know we were booking a dog friendly room because he does shed. So the only complaint I have it making that more clear on the booking site. Our boy is the best smartest an obedient service dog! He works very hard at his job so taking him to enjoy himself was most important! After learning his breed the staff said we’d get charged if there were any complaints. That did not feel good. There were many yipping small dogs that deserved a complaint charge! Ours was a perfect gentleman! The room was wonderful. Bed was newer and very comfortable. The bathroom updated. Slider opened up to such an amazing view. The jacuzzi tub was clean and water was hot. Perfect for sore muscles. The back area was fantastic! Fire pits to sit around while watching the sun set. Great access to a beautiful beach. They had snacks in the lobby even though we didn’t try any of them they are very well equipped with great amenities. We will definitely be back! 🐾❤️🌷"
