"We arrived at the hotel to drop our bags off before check in time. There was only one staff on the front desk had to wait a while as there more customers waiting. No one came
to help.
On the actual check in was smooth.
Room was on the 3rd floor. Twin room premier was spacious and clean. A
good touch is Yorkshire tea in the room.
Our first night we discovered that our pillows were old and uncomfortable & so I ended with neck ache. We asked the next morning and were given better ones.
The breakfast was included in our price.
On arrival on the first morning we were taken to a table by the supervisor. This was good as it was busy. There was plenty of choice, fresh fruits. Hot buffet of English breakfast. Even had poached eggs which were perfect. You can order other items off the menu. Restaurant staff cleared the tables quickly. Would recommend breakfast.
The next morning breakfast was busy again, however we’re were left to look for a table. This wasn’t easy as we had to walk around
searching, so more difficult for some older people,
There is scaffolding up at the moment outside the front however doesn’t impact the hotel inside.
It’s my second visit to this hotel and I would
recommended it."
"We were a party of 3 adults. We had a beautiful room with two twin beds and a double sofa bed. The room was large and had 3 windows overlooking the sea. The bathroom had a beautiful walk in shower. I have stayed at this hotel a number of times and would defiantly recommend it.
We had lunch in the hotel too and that was lovely and value for money. Great location"
"Parking in the hotel car park was almost impossible unless you have pre booked at a cost of £8 a night in a reserved space.
The hotel is undergoing extensive renovation which inevitably involves some scaffolding on part of the outside and the ballroom is nearing completion. These things caused little inconvenience as we enjoyed a lovely de luxe room with a fabulous view over the harbour.
Staff were very friendly and welcoming.
Overall we enjoyed a lovely short break and will be returning"
"Great location in the centre of Harrogate. My room was large and clean. Pillows were too hard, though. I had an issue with one of the beds and the gentleman on reception in the evening was very helpful and friendly.
I had reserved a parking space (£15pn), which is a good job as it was full.
Breakfast was very average.
I would consider staying here again if the price was right."
"We've stopped at the The Yorkshire twice now, we stopped in a double room which was clean but rather small and basic. We decided to go for a deluxe double which was much bigger and views over the front of the hotel which was nice as before we had an internal view of other rooms.
The iron was basic but also leaked water, the shower water flow was very slow that I joked it would be better to have a bucket of water thrown over you.
We did notice to the rear of the hotel where you can sit and enjoy a drink on comfy wicker chairs that there was an unpleasant smell from either the bins or drains.
The staff were polite and the breakfast was of good quality and plentiful."
