"Good location, staff not overly helpful, mostly young kids not trained in customer service! Rooms clean but bit drab and all but dull / dark. Breakfast okay but again service / quality all a bit lacking. Overall expensive for what it is."

"I stayed in a ‘cosy’ room and liked it. Although small there was room to hang clothes and the layout worked. The problem I experienced was with the bathroom. Again small and well laid out but there was a smell of drains. I reported it as I left. Room 5"

"Got a good deal but the hotel was not great. Quality of breakfast ingredients seemed poor. Worse case 1 small working lift for the whole hotel and it only fits 4 people with luggage. Had to wait about a lot. Overall not great."

We were above the pub entrance area on the 2nd floor so noisy around 7am. In a great location for the centre of Harrogate and would stay again and ask for a room on the front where it’s likely to be less noisy"

"Shocking hotel! The room was filthy and in a really bad state of repair. We refused to stay in the first room they gave us which was in the roof space. I don't understand how hotels are allowed to operate like this. If it was a restaurant they would be shut down by the foog hygiene agency. It ruined our weekend. I will be emailing the hotel directly with photos of the room. Would the owners stay in these rooms? I think not. Even the grand staircases are filthy."

"Nice spacey room no complaints re cleanliness. Good varied choice for breakfast. Welcoming staff. A little criticism is that the bedroom window in room 34 did not fully close & traffic travelling by in the street had the effect of rattling the window this though did not spoil stay. Reported to reception at end of stay."

"It was all good except the wifi did not work at all during my stay and the staff has nothing to offer as a back up. Not really ok in this day and age. In all other respects all the staff were very friendly and helpful The hotel is clean and modern and the pool area is lovely. Maybe just think about replacing the outside signage with the name of the hotel on it and give that area a coat of paint.
