Best Western Plus Dubuque Hotel & Conference Center
10/10 Excellent
"The hot tub was being drained and cleaned before the weekend which we appreciated!
Staff were… there. None of them would address us or even acknowledge us most of the time.
Weird. Other than that great stay!"
"This is a very cute place! Incredibly reasonable priced. Looks like to me that someone bought it and are trying to renovate it. It's not like your standard hotel room. It's cute. Has character! Newer carpeting! Cute headboard and I just like how the room itself was set up. There's a mini fridge/microwave in your room. The bed was decent! Not too hard and not too soft. Same with the pillows. The shower was excellent! The staff were awesome and helpful! I was only here to sleep for a night, but I'd like to actually check out the town. It seems decent. Nice, quiet area. The pool they're having problems with. It leaks and will be 6+ months. Not why I came here anyhow. Came for the price and location. I think it was about 12 miles from Dubuque. I will come here again! As a matter of fact, I'm bringing my boyfriend on Saturday. Some event in Dubuque."
"I had a couple issues during my stay but the staff handled everything they could. The first was that the flushing mechanism on my toilet broke and it would not flush. I was going out for the evening and by the time I got back it was fixed. I really didn't like how high the beds were off of the floor. I had to jump up to get in the bed. If I sat on the edge of the bed my feet were at least 6 inches off of the floor. Lastly the last night I was there (it was a Sat. night), someone on the second floor made a few very loud bangs on the floor (like dropping something heavy on the floor). It woke me up a couple times. Breakfast was satisfying but because a men's sports team was staying there they all ate breakfast at the same time and hogged the waffle maker so I had to eat other things. But all in all my stay was a good one."
"Breakfast had waffles, eggs, sausage, etc.
No issues with the bed, as we have "temperamental" backs.
Room very clean.
It was very nice to see a TV listing guide in the room."
"The rooms were spacious and the beds amazingly comfortable. The check-in staff guy was very nice and friendly. Nice breakfast. The hot tub worked after hitting the button several times, but the water feature in the pool did not work, which bummed out my grandkids. But the pool itself was very nice."
