"We stayed in the lodge portion of the complex and really enjoyed our room and amenities. Since it was spring we were able to take advantage of open windows and fresh air. We utilized the downstairs lobby for reading and a game of scrabble, and even played a round of ping pong in the basement (it was a little more stuffy down there). The hiking trails were utilized to go over to Cascade River State Park. The steps and bridges are a bit run down but still useable. We also dined at the restaurant...

"This hotel is in a great location. The staff was super helpful and went above and beyond when we needed to change our room. The breakfast was just okay. However, the walls are extremely thin in this hotel. You can hear people above you and people in the hallway. We are light sleepers so this really affected our stay in a negative way."

"Eat at the restaurant at the hotel. It was the best. I’ll never have better north woods biscuits and gravy. Chicken tenders, burgers, fries, ribs, chicken parm were also all so good. It was great."
