Margaritaville Resort Casino

"The $40 resort fee was inconvenient and taken out of deposit once it was given back. I was never notified of this fee

"When booking the room, I clicked on a non-smoking room that had a view overlooking the river. When I looked at the itinerary, it was very vague in what I was actually getting. It said smoking-non smoking. Requests non smoking. In my mind, I said I should call and make sure I get a non smoking room because the last time I booked here, I went with a smoking room at a cheaper price. My wife and I couldn’t stay in it because it was choking us. Because they probably have a hard time filling smoking rooms, if you chose a smoking room at a previous stay, they think it’s ok to just put you in a smoking room. Sure enough, I get to the property and they put us in a smoking room, I told her I’m going to need non-smoking, all they had was a pet room non-smoking with a view overlooking the parking lot. Not cool, I payed more money with the view and they put us in a pet room looking over parking lot. "

Clarion Pointe

"This was my first ever stay at a Carion Point. The front desk staff at check in and out were efficient and pleasant. The room was comfortable and clean. Location is right next door to the police station, and not far from the airport. Perfect hotel for traveling with my dog -- room was on the first floor, hard surface flooring, spacious area for food and water bowls, and reasonable pet charge. Being close to the airport, you will hear airplane noise late. Walls were thin and I could hear people talking in their regular voice in the next room. Overall, I would definitely stay here again."

Bally’s Shreveport Casino and Hotel

"Carpet stained badly"

Motel 6 Monroe, LA
2/10 Terrible
"This MOTEL is very over priced for the conditions of those rooms. I mean everything was horrible. The staff was friendly but that doesn’t excuse the conditions of the rooms. If you ask me it’s false advertising because nothing in the pictures match the way those rooms truly are. I’m not a mean person and I’m very truthful but those rooms are very ridiculous and very over priced!!"

Americas Best Value Inn Monroe

"I checked in on April 25, 2026 for a two‑night reservation. I booked through Expedia, for a business trip. What I walked into was nothing like what was advertised online. The photos on the website are completely misleading they do not match the reality of what this room actually looks like. The images show clean, modern, well‑maintained spaces. What I got was the exact opposite.
The moment I entered the room, I saw a roach crawling inside, which is absolutely unacceptable for any hotel claiming to offer safe, sanitary accommodations. Then I noticed cobwebs hanging directly over the bed, proving the room had not been cleaned or inspected at even the most basic level. This wasn’t a small oversight this was a complete failure of housekeeping and hygiene.
On top of that, there was constant loud disturbance outside my door, including kids running back and forth, yelling, and slamming doors. Between the pest infestation, the filth, the noise, and the false advertising, the room was completely unusable. I could not work, rest, or safely remain in the space.
Because of these conditions, I left after only 4 hours. I did not stay overnight, and I did not receive the services I paid for.
What makes this situation even more outrageous is the manager’s (Susan) behavior afterward. Instead of acknowledging the hotel’s clear failures, she tried to charge me for the entire two‑night stay, despite the fact that I left the same day due to their unsanitary and unsafe conditions."
