"This place is in a great location with nice, clean rooms. Staff is very friendly. Unfortunately, we stayed there one night. The TV would not work and staff said they had a cable crew out earlier who said they fixed a problem, but it obviously wasn’t fixed. The phone also would not work. The next day we woke up and there was no hot water for the entire morning until checkout. They said their hot water heater went out and a plumber was on the way. So, we hope these issues are resolved and then it would be quite nice. But the lack of hot water for a shower this morning was a real bummer."

"When we checked in at the Reservation desk the agent was very confusing and not nice or helpful. We had to ask all the questions in order to get the help and information we needed. The walls between rooms are thin and parking spaces small."

"Great location. An added plus was having breakfast available. I loved taking morning walks on the trail along the beach."

"Definitely didn't feel safe there were only two cars in parking lot and nobody at front desk .We needed to go next store to their sister building to check in and check out. Room had old musty rugs and no air conditioner just a ceiling fan. The only good thing was their location close to Herst Castle. "

"We met the staff once at breakfast on our last day. Otherwise at our check in there was no one. Not the greatest of welcomes. I would have rated the hotel a 4 star but it just needs a facelift. The shower and lovely bathtub was inviting but the water pressure so low it would have taken hours to fill the tub."
