All about context. This is a lovely lakeside chalet style accommodation. Great views, peace and tranquility. I would recommend it and would stay again. Best part is not being in Hallstatt but only a pleasant boat ride away.

Breakfast is very expensive so we skipped that and went to a local bakery. The staff will try and charge for everything and anything so be aware of that. View is great and location was nice being so close to Hallstat but not directly in it. The room is also very small.

Lovely, clean hotel with beautiful views from the balcony. We had a great stay and can only say positive things. The only thing to note is that once you’ve ordered breakfast, you still have to pay even if you decide to skip it for a day. The pizzeria next door is also really delicious. Overall, a very good stay!

Basic hotel with basic accommodations. You will be charged extra for any additional services beyond just the room, with some services being cash-only payment. Not sure if there was a maintenance issue, but we did not have hot water our first night there which was a bummer. The town is beautiful, but this hotel was just okay. Definitely check out the pizza restaurant down the road during your stay!

The room and bathroom were amazingly clean. The view of the mountains and lake were breathtaking. What a nice hidden gem. What would make this property even more perfect is if there was a refrigerator and microwave in the room and laundering facilities inclusive of an iron and ironing board. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay again. It would be nice if the larger rooms (party of 3-4) were lake facing too. The lake view rooms were limited to double and single occupancy.

we loved our stay! Right on the lake, ideal location to the walking path to the Hallstatt train station. We had a gorgeous view of the mountains, where we were able to watch the sunrise.

Located on the other side of Hallstatt, in the small town of Obertraun, this hotel offers a calm and serene environment. We booked a lake-view room and had an amazing view. The rooms are small but clean and well maintained. There is a café next door and a pizza place nearby. Breakfast was basic and not worth €18. There are benches by the lake where you can sit and enjoy the view. Hallstatt is about 10 minutes away by car, boat, or bus.

The room is clean. The staff are friendly. Mr. Franz Josef always have a smile to greet us every morning. We skipped breakfast, not an early riser. We usually do brunch or early lunch. We arrived by train. There's ample parking spots if you have a car. We liked the place and will come back with family next time.
