Everything is fine, parking is on site and it is very convenient to have the restaurant on site too (the food was homemade and delicious). The only note I have for the hotel overall is the bed was extremely hard (very painful to sleep on if you are used to soft bedding and memory foam).

Close to an air base
Very close to Kadena Air base so if you don’t want to hear planes I wouldn’t recommend it. They do have a child fee which we were unaware of at booking. The room we had was huge compared to other Japanese hotel rooms. It does have shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the rooms that is good quality. Also offer free breakfast.

The Crown Hotel is convenient and won't disappoint
The Crown Hotel is an Excellent option for lodging. It is a convenient commute by car to Kadena Air Base and Camp Foster. It’s clean, the front desk staff is friendly and capable, and the rooms are spacious. The WiFi worked well and the quiet atmosphere was conducive to rest and work. Dishes prepared and served at the restaurant were simple but tasty and delivered quickly. The restaurant offered various selections but the best bets were the Okinawan and Japanese specialties such as the soba. The local draft Orion beer paired well with the local cuisine and was served cold and delicious.

Room was clean, the hallway had a double metal frame that you stepped through like a slightly smaller submarine door. I could hear the scrape when I dragged my suitcase over the 3-4 inch lip. Also when my friend arrived to pick me up, the front desk told him guests are not allowed upstairs in the rooms, kind of an awkward moment like my parents saying my friends can't come in the house. I guess they don't want people to see their rooms until after they have already paid to stay there.

We feel we were over charged for a family of 3. We were charged an extra ¥14000 . The hotel is old. The beds are not comfortable. The restaurant charge expensive breakfast. The only only compliment is the car park . We were disappointed with the hotel and will not recommend it to anyone ,

charming, smallish, family owned, and run, hotel 5 minutes from Kadena Gate 2, easy access to American Village, etc. The nicest staff I've ever had at a hotel! Many of them speak English, several extremely well. Good restaurant, most plans include a Japanese or American breakfast. Highly recommended! Arigato gozaimasu!

Nice hotel close to Kadena Air Base
This is an older property, but VERY clean. My husband and I booked a “Twin Room, 2 Single Beds” which turned out to be two regular double beds. I don’t know about the other rooms but this one was very spacious. It had a microwave on a baker’s rack and a refrigerator. The staff spoke English which helped us navigate the public bus system. They were also very happy to call the taxis with base access and credit card capability. The hotel is within 1 mi (2 km) of Kadena Air Base. They have 3 washers and dryers for guest use which dispenses the detergent automatically.

Staff was so helpful, even covering my cab as I did not have any yen exchanged and the driver did not accept cc'd. Keiko helped me make reservations and navigate to places of interest in the city. Rooms are small and a bit humid in May but very clean and tidy.

Good if you have a car
To clarify, this hotel is only "close" to things if you have your own car to get around. The hotel staff is friendly, and does try to help, but they seem a bit understaffed, as during the day I would often be struggling for attention from the one staff member on duty at reception who I needed directions from, while they also directed cars in and out of the lot, or checked people in and out, or any number of other things. That said, the rooms are clean and in good condition. The hotel is a bit old, but not run down or anything. They serve a decent breakfast, though they do have the usual Japanese misconception of just what is an American breakfast. (I recommend ordering it anyway, just for amusement.) The surrounding neighborhood is pretty seedy looking, in that there seem to be a number of strip clubs around. All said, I would consider this a good option if you have rented a car for your trip. Otherwise, I would suggest finding a place a little closer to things.

Loved this place - first time in Okinawa - was there for a work trip all by myself and dont speak any japanese - the team here helped me make sure I had what i needed to navigate the area - the internet was awesome- the room was clean and efficient - I didnt expect a westernized hotel and I didnt get one - but it was all i needed and the price was great. Super easy to get anywhere you needed to go from this centralized location.

Great no frills hotel near Gate 2 for Kadena.
As long as you are looking for a no-frills hotel you will find a great experience at Crown. Friendly staff, clean rooms. The rooms are large by Japanize standards with American size beds. Walking distance to Gate 2. Choice of traditional Japanize or American breakfasts.
