"We loved our stay here. They are in the middle of renovations and we paid for a cheaper room that hadn't been renovated fully yet. We were a little worried it would be grotty or quite dated since the pictures on the website for those rooms weren't great, but the rooms were actually pretty nice. The hotel is beautiful and the grounds are amazing with breathtaking views. The restaurant is great. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Also it's lovely to see all the birds about the property...

"The room was excellent with a very comfy king-size bed beautiful view of the sea and Abbey. The only downsize was the bathroom is need of a refurb as the shower cubicle is very small and the doorway is very small. Has a bath that we did use made the bathroom a little cramped. It is due a refurb so be great to come back. The breakfast was very good but would of liked some more options for vegetarians. The bar was lovely with a nice ambience in The Fat Badger Brand"

"The property was beautiful, the staff was amazing and the fact that the cafe attached was both delicious and had outdoor seating was absolutely incredible… The only downside to our stay is that there was a huge youth field trip. The kids were probably about 10-13 years old and were terribly loud, running up and down the stairs, screaming and yelling in the hallways and the teachers didn’t do anything about it. "The room ( junior suite ) was cold as the radiators were not working when we arrived. Reception was informed at about 4,00 pm but nothing improved until several houirs later. Two electric heaters were put in the room and the radiators eventually came on. The 'fault', we weere told, was the room thermostst which was located outside in the hallway (???) and somebody had turned it off.
