Tokyu Stay Shimbashi (Ginza area)

"the breakfast was sooo good! i LOVED the pancakes and the yogurt. the staff are friendly and always greet you when you go out for the day. the room i booked was a little small, but doable-ish for two people. i found the bed to be very comfortable. it was great having a laundry machine in the room, (which i didn’t expect) but it was complicated to figure out which buttons to use. there is a qr code on the machine for a quick guide to help. this hotel is less than a 10 minute walk to shimbashi station, so it’s very central to everything and super easy to get around. the ginza line became my best friend. since the station is so close, the sounds of the trains are loud enough that you will hear it in your room. however, it didn’t disrupt my sleep. i would definitely stay here again! thank you tokyu stay!"

"The room is spacious, with comprehensive amenities, and the turndown service was good. The hotel views are lovely and it’s conveniently located near a train station. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only downside was breakfast. It took very long to get a seat even when it wasn’t at full capacity (we had to queue every day), the service was slow and the variety of the food could become repetitive after a couple of days."

"Perfect location to explore Ginza. Also nice "last hotel" before going home as it is closer to Haneda than some of the other places popular for tourists. And they will forward your luggage to the airport same day which is super convenient to get to enjoy the day bag free if you have a later flight. Rooms were decent size and very comfy beds. This is the most "American" of the hotels we stayed at which may be a positive or negative dependent on your perspective. Examples; pillows were western style (no bead/rice type pillows), minimal toiletries (no toothbrush etc in room/ although I'm sure you could ask), all guests seemed to be foreign/ very few Japanese. Only exception is there seems to be a mid day tea type of meal served at the restaurant which had very few foreigners. Breakfast was great, restaurant was nice and convenient. Important to know that pretty much nothing in Ginza opens before 11. However Tsukiji market is an easy 15 min walk away and a great way to start the day. We would definitely stay here again."

"Great location, close to the subway station as well as an array of restaurants and bars just a few minutes walk. A good neighbourhood to stay in if you want a lively atmosphere without the chaos of Shibuya. The room was very clean, well maintained with a great view of Tokyo Tower. It was super compact which was fine for me as a solo traveller. Unpacking was a bit of a squeeze though as I only had space to open my case right at the front door! Staff were super helpful and polite."

"Tons of food nearby, close to train station. There is a Lawson at the bottom of the hotel which is so nice and convenient. The room is very small but you can make do but you will be completely stepping over all your luggage and it gets cramped quickly. The bathroom was nicer than other double bed rooms I’ve stayed in in Japan. The staff were helpful and nice and the hotel never felt crowded. It had laundry I just never used it but there was no onsen in it to my knowledge. It was easy to get back after a long day of walking and the area had a lot of food around. The bed was kind of hard but some people may like that. I requested more pillows and they brought them promptly and were very accommodating. Overall very nice would recommend!!"
