"I'm not usually a B&B person but it had such amazing reviews we gave it a try and it lived up to every 5 star review. It is absolutely gorgeous, the room was spacious and had the most fabulous bathtub. The breakfast is wonderful and Karen is so kind and accommodating. I highly recommend The Laindons."

"We had a great stay at Moore House. The only downside was that the top floor got quite hot, but apart from that everything was excellent. The house was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. We’d definitely stay again. Overall, a 5-star experience!"

"Very clean and a nice big room, huge bathroom. We was on the very top floor and had to walk through the ballroom to get to our room!! 4 flights of stairs, 66 steps! Although the room was lovely, the bed was awful. Extremely creaky and bouncy matress lead to a terrible night sleep. Surrounding area and Hastings are lovely. You can walk to Hastings in half an hour along the sealine or get a bus. "

"Claverton staff, food, room and gardens all excellent. The functions on 2 nights in function room and beer garden below our room was noisy and therefore took edge off stay hence the 4 stars and would not return in the future."

"We enjoyed our one night stay in this historic pub, with free off street parking. Battle is a wonderful village full of history and we really enjoyed the evening exploring the town and enjoying the vista. The hotel is small, old and quaint. The room was small,but comfortable with a private bathroom with shower,along with complimentary tea and coffee. Would recommend this Inn for exploring this historic area of East Sussex."

"Towels and bedding were clean, although the rooms lacked TLC with the shower cubicle needing a good clean and the grouting redoing and the cobwebs clearing from the curtain rail. The hotel does not have its own restaurant and does not supply any meals. Car parking is to the rear of the property and has limited spaces, definitely not enough for the entire hotel, but their is public parking 5 minutes away which is free between the hours of 6pm and 8am. "Polite staff and clean room"

"We stayed 2 nights. Perfectly adecuate to stay and spend your day in the lovely villages nearby. The aetting was very pretty. The room was spaceous but hot (despute having a fan) and not very aound proof (it was a dog next door that kept us awake one of the nights), it also didn't have plug sockets next to the bed and the water pressure of the shower was low. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was nice. For the price, you would probably expect a bit more but overal it was...

"This property is unbelievably beautiful and comfortable. Easy on street parking and close to the sea front and good restaurants. The hosts were welcoming and helpful. We highly recommend staying and experiencing Victorian living at its best."

"The staff were all wonderful and helpful . It was 36c+ . The building is an old historic property with newly refurbished bedrooms . A fan was in the room to help with the heat . Small but comfortable with a lovely bathroom. My room faced the front and with the heat I needed my window open . The property is by the traffic lights so if you are traffic averse , ask for a rear room . Breakfast is continental but you can pay extra for a cooked breakfast, but not on Sundays . Room for 3 cars to park...

"What a beautiful location! Lovely hotel in a perfect spot. The staff were all so freindly and helpful, especially the extremely polite dark haired gentleman at the bar when we arrived. He took the trouble to show me to the room and explained everything. The breakfast was also very good, great choice and lovely to sit with a view of the Abbey. Would love to stay here again and would highly recommend."
