"Clean, easy access, some different hot food choices on successive days, overall good. The AC unit in room was really noisy when it would kick on so if you are a light sleeper you might want to have earplugs."

"Stayed with my daughter (10 years old) and it was our 1st time at El Conquistador - very impressed!
Rooms were good, and we had very easy access to the pools.
My daughter enjoyed the slide pool immensely, and the servers in the pool area were outstanding. Special shout out to JT, who went above and beyond in customer service!
The breakfast was very good, and the stables on property were a highlight of our stay - the Tattered Stables folks were great, and an asset to the resort.

"Homeless people outside and you would't want to walk to nearby restaurants as I was advised when I called after a long work day and they said they were within 5 minutes walking distance...homeless people and not a very good area. I drove around forever to find a restaurant and parking is horrible."

"Excellent location downtown. Room design is a bit too minimalistic. Two tiny drawers for clothes. Weird electrical stuff going on in our room. Lights in entrance worked and then stopped working. Cannot turn on bathroom light without Master switch and all lights on. Bath fan never worked. Room design with shower and bath and glass sliding door does not provide privacy. Just a strange setup. Whomever is designing these hotels is focused on cost savings, not the user experience. "

"Had a little trouble from the beginning day. Remote for TV had no batteries. Waited around 50 minutes for staff to rectify. Last day of stay I received a knock on the door around 8 am. I opened and a staff rudely said “What time?”. I replied What time for what? She replied, What time are you checking out? I said I don’t understand why you are asking I have until 11am. She said ok 11am? Whatever. Since when are you quizzed on your check out time. "

"We have been coming to this Marriott property annually to visit our grandchildren and when we arrived, they said the pool was closed for deep cleaning when in fact it was a broken pump and every day we were told was being fixed and never was until our last night there. They had a note on the pool saying due to anyone inconvenience please ask at the front desk for special accommodations.
I spoke with Kathey the manager and asked if we could switch to another room as the fold our couch was like...
