"We stayed at Le Méridien for three nights to celebrate my partner’s 40th birthday, having booked a superior city-view room five months in advance. As it was a special occasion, the hotel kindly gave us what they described as the best room in the category we had reserved, but unfortunately we found it rather disappointing. Although the room was likely the advertised 30 square metres, a large portion of the space was taken up by an oversized bathroom, which made the bedroom area feel much smaller than expected. The city view was pleasant enough (through windows in need of cleaning), but nowhere near as impressive as the photos suggested. The furnishings and overall finish also felt somewhat cheap and below the standard you would normally expect from a five-star hotel—something we had previously experienced at a Marriott Convoy in New York City. The exterior of the hotel suggests traditional architecture, but our room was in a modern part in the back with low ceilings, contrary to what we expected based on the photos of the hotel. The hotel also offered complimentary drinks on days when housekeeping was declined. We chose to make use of this, only to discover that the offer applied to a very limited drinks menu, meaning we still had to pay for what we ordered. That said, the location is excellent, and the staff were warm, friendly, and very helpful throughout our stay. Overall, however, we felt the experience did not justify a return visit."

"Had an enjoyable 3-night stay at the hotel and had a nice room upgrade. Rooms have everything that you require but still run on a door key system, which you can hand into reception when not in the hotel. The hotel is not central, but there is a tram stop outside the property, and there are 2 U stops nearby. Uber is easy to book and had no problems getting around the city from the hotel. The breakfast is very good with plenty of variety for everyone. Staff are very helpful and would recommend the hotel if you do not want to pay city centre prices."

"The hotel is very well located, close to supermarkets, coffee shops, restaurants and in front of public transportation. The staff is really friendly and helpful. Nothing luxurious but you get what you need and it is clean. "

"At check-in, there was a man and a woman. I clearly arrived before those two guests, but the female receptionist called them both to check in first and asked me to wait there. Then the male receptionist, who had his hair in a braid, pronounced my name in a very strange tone while entering it into the system, which made me feel quite uncomfortable."
