"The hotel is a beautiful location. The swimming pool area with the live music on the weekend had a great vibe.
There are a few things that detracted from our stay because we were with elderly family members. We booked an accessible room for an elderly member of our family and the room was hard to navigate with both a walker and a wheelchair. There is not enough space and too much furniture clutter. The doors are also too heavy for elderly people-- there is some pressure phenomenon in the hotel that makes doors hard to open. I would encourage the staff to try to navigate an accessible room with a walker or wheelchair themselves. Also it is hard to prop doors open to allow you to navigate with a walker.
A primary reason we stayed at the hotel was the swimming pool and the ladders in the pool were too sharp for one member of our family to use. Even members of our group without sensitive skin noticed the ladders felt abnormally sharp.
Another issue was getting hot water in the lobby. Apparently this is something housekeeping is in charge of. In my opinion the hospitality staff should keep an eye on it or the hotel should provide better equipment.
There is also a rug in the lobby that people keep tripping over because the corner doesn't stay down. I mentioned it twice and noticed a few guests trip over it. This is a potential liability for the hotel and I did my best to warn them and I hope they take it to heart before something bad happens.."
