"The Kings Arm was in such a good location in Woodstock within walking distance of all the shops and beautiful Blenheim Palace. It is nice to stay in such a historic pub and hotel, but as with many aged facilities there are some trade offs. The bed was very comfortable, but the room could get incredibly hot. The room is also quite tight for 2 travelers. The small shower needed servicing as the metal soap, shampoo holder was totally hanging off one side and also had poor drainage, once leaking...

"We had an goid stay at Macdonald Bear Hotel. The staff were excellent throughout, friendly, welcoming and very helpful. Our room was a good size and the location is fantastic, especially for exploring Woodstock and Blenheim Palace. Breakfast was ok, decent options but limited buffet. The room itself was a little dated and it wasn’t the quietest stay, mainly due to some very loud air con, even though it was turned off but sounded like rushing water. "A truly delightful hotel in a convenient location with excellent staff and facilities. Impossible to fault overall - 2 tips… dont park under the trees in front of the building. I dont know what the birds eat, but they eat A LOT of it. Then theres steps….pack light, you’ll be hauling your luggage up a LOT of steps :-) - its a 13th century manor house, lifts werent a “thing” !"

"Great location. Quiet and peaceful hotel. Lots of natural light and cool breeze from the garden. The kitchenette has a real small sized refrigerator and not the useless dorm sized one. Waking distance to many great restaurants in Summertown with easy bus access to Oxford city center. "
