"Whilst I appreciate that the hotel is a beautiful old building, there are areas which need small things doing that would make the building perfect, such as painting over worn paintwork and replacing worn carpet on the stairs. The service at the hotel was very good. The room was lovely and very old and needed a small amount of repairs to the paint on walls and cracked tiles in the bathroom. The breakfast was just ok. I don't understand in a hotel of this standard why you have to pay an extra £6 for some breakfast items that weren't even anything special. Also the pastries, juices etc weren't replenished regularly so if anyone went for breakfast a bit later there wasn't much to choose from. The hotel is in a great location right in the heart of the village and next to Blenheim Palace."

While not a highly luxurious stop over, it was clean and very quiet for a good nights sleep.. perhaps a bit of maintenance needed in the rooms but the restaurant and breakfast were very nice and it very friendly service. "Great staff. Coffee maker not working. Staff offered to come check it but we were out and about too much. Room was small but clean and comfortable. Two wall hangers each, no wardrobe. Ok for a weekend. No fridge :( Bathroom small, but OK. Great base to visit local places like Witney. Half the price if hotels in Oxford, just 25 minutes. Free parking on site."
