"The bathroom shower was broken, and the flush was non-functional. There was no drinking water available. The washroom was very basic and lacked the feel of a hotel, resembling a 1-star bathroom."

"A nice modern hotel. Clean and comfortable on a main road that will allow you to travel out to a bunch of different riding and hiking spots conveniently. Staff were friendly and as mentioned it was lovely and clean. Only recommendation would be to bring some earplugs if you’re a light sleeper and you happen to be in a room looking out on to the road. The windows are thick but seemingly not enough to block out noise from passing vehicles. "

"Clean but dated room. Had trouble with noisy neighbours and the night porter tried to sort it but wasnt to be....however the manageress Gillian was great sorting a free replacement stay. "

"It was perfectly situated in the centre of Holmfirth with easy parking individual to your stay. The staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful. Our room and ensuite were stunning"

"Our overnight stay was excellent. Check in was really simple and the host really friendly. Our room was spacious and clean with a lovely comfy bed and well designed ensuite shower room. A nice light and airy room. Breakfast was superb and piping hot. No complaints at all. Would highly recommend. "

"I have stayed at the Peacock a few times now as the location is stunning and the rooms never fail to disappoint. They are clean and the bathrooms always have the wow factor. The food in the restaurant is also great, the only downside was the service, we didn’t get our wine for over half an hour and had to ask three times for it from different staff. However I will be back again! "

"Stayed 2 nights enjoyed evening meals and breakfasts - chosen as a base for visiting Wakefield Barbara Hepworth gallery and Yorkshire Sculpture Park easily accessed and comfortable base. "

"Loved my stay! The staff was super friendly and nice, felt very welcomed. The room was comfortable and clean. Parking was easy and convenient. The breakfast was perfect, I also dinned in the restaurant and loved everything. Banana Toffee Waffle dessert is well worth the calories!"

"Brilliant hotel, good price compared to other hotels in area.Only fault was I wished they had kettle for tea/coffee in the room, but drinks were available at reception 24/7. Very satisfied with everything else would stay there again, highly recommend! Staff helpful and friendly always around to help."
