Staff was friendly. Room seemed clean. Breakfast was average. Front desk quickly got me set up and sent me to the third floor. We realized our cards did not work. Housekeeper saw we were having trouble and asked if she could help. We said the key wasn’t unlocking the room. She checked the key sleeve to make sure it was the same room. It was. Then she (without knocking) unlocked the door for us, only to realize it was occupied! I used to be a housekeeper; you NEVER enter a room without knocking. That made me nervous not only for the fact we didn’t have a room but also some of the staff may just unlock our room! Headed back downstairs and had to wait in line. Finally got to the lady and she looked baffled. She tapped on her computer for several minutes and then apologized saying that she could give me a King suite upgrade at no extra charge. I explained we needed the Queen room so she continued to type as if she could find nothing. About 10 minutes later, she finally finds my name already booked into the second floor! My review on the remodel is that the shower is a pretty absurd design but I doubt that will be changed. Also, pictures are no longer secure and one very large on fell off the wall onto my head while I sat on the couch. Just seemed a bit careless. Picture fell for no reason so that’s a bit of a safety concern. May have really hurt a child. I did not report it but probably should have. Again, doubt that will be changed.
