"There are about 30 steps from the off street parking space to the Treetops deck, but we knew that going in. One arrives at a spacious deck with a fantastic view of the Bay of Islands with Russell off in the distance - hence the elevation. It was a bit too cool to dine on the deck (there is a bbq) but at the end of each day exploring it was lovely to sit with a glass of wine on the deck, watching the light fade. Treetops is just enough off the main roads that traffic noise was never an issue,...

"This was the cleanest and best appointment holiday apartment I’ve ever stayed at - the whole place was spotless - both inside the apartment and also in common areas like the pool. The apartment has everything we needed for cooking and eating, as well as plenty of bedding and towels. The staff when above and beyond - they were extremely friendly, kind and helpful! "Wonderful place to stay, with extra touches to make our stay special. Accommodation was clean and comfortable with plenty of space, with a balcony offering beautiful views over Bay of Islands. Excellent location for getting to quay fir boat and ferry trips and within walking distance of Waitangi Treaty Grounds. (Although the steep walk back up hill after a day out is quite tough...but view was worth it). "

"Really nice hostel! The staff are lovely and willing to help with whatever questions you have! Stayed in the 4-bed female dorm and it was pretty good - the floor was quite creaky underneath the carpets in the room so it was hard to be quiet when I had to be up early some of the days (thankfully the other guests were not bothered by this!). The head space on the top bunk was a bit tight but I was comfortable enough for the stay. Bathrooms and shower rooms were clean and tidy. Kitchen and common...
