"Friendly and professional staff. Wonderful evening meal (the Halloumi Flatbread was delicious). Good parking, spacious bedroom well appointed. The chilled complimentary fruit juice & water was much appreciated after a 400 mile journey! My only issue was that room 4 was right over the outside seating area and I can only imagine that during World Cup season this could prove to be a problem. As it was I did have the creaking stairs (access for all guests) and loud music blasting from the bar below...

"Solo traveller - peaceful night in a very comfortable bed and spacious room. Cleanliness up to speck with crisp white bedding and fluffy towels. Wonderful breakfast with tasty locally sourced bacon. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve chosen the Derby Arms for a stay over now, for a fussy traveller it fits the bill beautifully! Central location for Longridge/Ribble Valley."

"The accommodation was very good. Breakfast whilst adequate, was not as varied as I’ve had elsewhere. Eg. Scrambled eggs or no eggs. Hotel not easy to find by car and sat nav. Mine gave up. Haven’t seen so many no entry signs in such close proximity and never seen a “Bus gate” before. Beware of this as sat nav’s want to take you through it. DON’T GO there. I’ll probably have a ticket on the mat when I get home. Only one disabled car parking bay and that was coned off. Arriving by train? Not easy...

"Very friendly staff, the room was very clean and bed was comfortable. The pool was full of kids so we didn't went for a swim. Breakfast was good and had many options. The car park was quite full and the spots were a bit tight (even worse because a lot of people didn't know how to park 🙃) But overall was a nice experience! Highly recommend it!"

"I was very much looking forward to my stay the the Hotel , it was a treat for myself as i was attending a wedding over the weeknd However i dont think i will be back any time soon :-( I stayed in room 16 and there was a loud noise coming from the bathroom ( not sure what is was ) but I had definitely no sleep at all. Reported to reception but they seem not be bothered at all. Also very loud noise in the evenings. Seen few men's in they underwear running up and down. The corridor knocking to...

"The room had neither safe nor fridge, both amenities that I’ve had in every other Holiday Inn around the world, and certainly the lack of a safe was a problem, we had to carry out passports and important documents with us when we went out."

"I booked a standard ensuite double room but upgraded to the Tudor Suite. I chose this hotel because it is hundreds of years old, which is something we don’t get to experience much in the USA! "Good experience all round. The breakfast selection is better than my previous stays. The only slight negative is that on the last day, I wanted to get my bill while the reception was quiet at breakfast time before the check out rush but the receptionist advised me that due to a new system, if I got the bill, the room would no longer be accessible."
