Ok for budget accomodarion. However, rooms less agreeable than the ones shown on the web/expedia page. Spacious but very basic. The area surrounding the hotel is filthy dirty and even worse in some other neighbourhoods. Palermo has household garbage piled up at almost every corner - just not on the main tourist attractions. Palermo makes Napoli appear spotless.

Clearly, the ratings have been screened so the poor ones don't show. Poorly managed, false expectations created using photos, inaccurate location details that make it difficult to find, no one answers the phone, even though reception is "open" from 10-00am - 10.00pm. It goes on and on. It was so bad, I abandoned the property, loosing money but it was just terrible. Why Expedia support properties like this, defies logic!

La sistemazione tutto sommato, considerato il costo e la buona posiziine potevacessere condiderata buona ma il titolare ha mostrato segni di squilibrio che mi hanno spaventata. All inizio aveva dato disponibilità per il deposito bagagli e invece in fase cekout ha limitato la possibilità, al mio sottolineare che comunque avevo capito fosse un servixio invluso e che sarei stata disposta a pagarlo ha iniziato a urlare dicendo " ora chiamu lu nivuru" e prendendo a pugni la porta mentre mi insultava in quanto appartenebte alla categoria" Siciliana".. sono scappata via con il mio bagaglio e ancora non mi dono ripresa del yutto dal turbamento.

Posizione strategica per visitare il centro storico a piedi e nel contempo silenziosa perchè leggermente spostata dalla via centrale. La piazzetta molto raccolta con locali carini presso cui mangiare. Gaetano davvero molto disponibile per l’accoglienza e simpatico con ottimi consigli su come muoversi a Palermo.

Best budget option in Palermo

Castelnuovo was excellent. It is a bit hard to find, but the staff is incredibly helpful. The room is large, the bed if comfortable, and everything is very clean. It has a good location not far from the Teatro Massimo and Borgo Vecchio. The breakfast had coffee, cereals, biscotti, and two different breakfast pies. It was nothing spectacular but good. I would highly recommend.

Great Staff

Stayed one night prior to taking the plane early next morning Staff was very friendly and helpful. Carried our luggage to the room and arranged for shared taxi to the airport next morning. Beats taking the Bus at 5:30am and worth the extra euros paid for the taxi. Will definitely stay there again if we were to come to Palermo in the future

All in all good place to stay in Palermo.

A bit far away from the historic attractions (unless your here to visit theatres) but instead it's safe and clean. Generous but nothing but sweet breakfast. Room's equipment rather basic (including14" (?) TV). Spotless clean. Rather slow internet. The main drawback was the lack of homy feel and characterless of this place.

Eccellente camera in pieno centro di Palermo

Accolta da uno staff favoloso. Camera bella, con balcone , spaziosa e pulita, come i bagni pulitissimi. La posizione non plus ultra, a due passi la navetta/autobus per l'aeroporto. Ci tornerò sicuramente quando dovesse servirmi. Un caro saluto a Luigi ed a tutto il suo staff. Grazie ed ad maiora.

La struttura si trova in una delle zone migliori di Palermo. Il prezzo è incredibilmente basso. Le condizioni vi stupiranno in positivo. Gestito da ragazzi che ti accolgono con sorrisi sinceri.

Good location and lovely staff. enjoyed my stay but 3 down sides. 1- bed was uncomfortable 2- breakfast was simply bread and tea ( no jam, butter or anything) 3- hair dryer wasn't available. overall, based on the price, I think it is really a nice place and I recommend it

Accommodating Staff

The staff at this place was amazing. Their English was good and they went out of their way to make you feel at home. On checkout day, they stored luggage and invited you to use their facilities after you were finished sightseeing for the day. Our group ended up at 2 locations and they couldn't apologize enough. (We had booked separately and under different last names.) We checked in super late but I believe that if it would have been feasible they would have moved us to the same location.
