"We absolutely loved Riu Guanacaste. We travelled March 28 - April 4 2026. 4 adults and 1 child. The resort was very clean everywhere you went - there was always staff cleaning the bathrooms, floors, restaurants. Pools were clean. The resort is fully updated and beautiful. We mostly ate at the buffet for ease - the food at the buffet was always hot, great selection, constantly restocked and rotated. Despite going during a very busy week at the hotel, they really know how to handle the crowd/that capacity. There were always loungers; there were always tables at the buffet to eat at; bartenders were relatively fast. The staff were always so kind and welcoming. Our favourite waiter at Liberia buffet was ROBINSON - he was attentive and so hard working - so great at his job and we appreciated it so much. Our 4 year old loved all the wild life and the water park. Beautiful, clean, safe beach! We also booked some excursions with Tours by Alan on the beach and had an amazing experience on both excursions. Highly recommend! We will be back Costa Rica! "

"Breakfast was excellent. Staff very friendly. Room was clean. Air conditioned work. This hotel was more than a four star. Standard room is small. We upgraded to the junior suite and enjoyed it immensely. Beach 5 minute walk. restaurants 3 minutes. Grocery stores across the street. "

"We arrived late after a long travel and wanted something close to the airport. We had limited options last minute. The walls in the condo needed a good scrub down. The beds were comfortable and clean. They provided way more than enough towels which was nice. However I felt like the place needed upgrades and wasn’t worth the big price. The main pool area and restaurant seemed sufficient and clean. The Condos were a bit farther off the main road and felt secluded. I would have appreciated being in a gated area and having safer parking options as well. "

"Breakfast was good but inconsistent. Staff was friendly and helpful. Location was great. Note that there is no elevator, so luggage must be carried upstairs. Air conditioning was a welcomed bonus."

"If you are looking for an amazing, welcoming experience with easy access to Liberia Airport, then we cannot recommend Suitree highly enough! The staff made us feel like family for the duration of our stay and the food was exceptional and plentiful. Full board is a must and you will not be disappointed. Lounging by the pool or up on the balcony of our own treehouse was an ever-changing joy of relaxation. We were traveling with grandparents and children, and everyone in the group was delighted by the animals that came to say hello to us throughout our stay. Suitree is in the middle of expansion and we cannot wait to return once the new complex has been completed. Until then we will be dreaming of all the amazing meals. This was a wonderful way to start our Costa Rica adventure!"
