"We stayed at this hotel in order to visit the National Museum which is nearby. It is also close to Queen Street station. We enjoyed the overall ambience of the hotel and particularly liked the restaurant and the roof top bar. The staff of the restaurant/bar provided excellent service at dinner and breakfast. The range of choices available for breakfast was excellent. Our stay coincided with the heatwave but the room was air conditioned and cool."

"The hotel itself is excellent - great location and architecture. The cool atmosphere and aircon were welcoming on the hottest June day ever recorded in Cardiff! The facilities were great - including bedroom, bar and pool / spa. A couple of disappointments though. Guaranteed check-in from 3p.m. We arrived at 2.15 so went to the bar to wait. By 3.30 still no room, so after a lot of to-ing and fro-ing they eventually found us an upgrade. The breakfast - distinctly average for the price and...

"Room was large, comfortable and had everything you need for an extended stay. Contactless checkin instructions were a bit confusing but in the end I got to my room. The room was modern but could have used a deep clean. Hallways were very noisy due to a family in the neighbouring room (otherwise would probably not have been a problem). "Staff were very helpful and friendly. Nothing too much trouble. Breakfast was lovely but a bit cold. Air conditioning in our room was lousy, not cold enough and air flow was ineffective, room was way too hot to sleep in. Location was great for city centre"

"Room was overpriced for a concert, £400 per night when £220 normally. I’d expect an uplift but not this much. Room was worn, fan and windows dusty and unclean. Other room had no hot water in shower so unable to use. Noisy and limited sleep although bed comfortable No bar as closed. WiFi non existent and no 5G signal so if you want a quiet night and no shower then ideal place. Breakfast mediocre"
