"The location is amazing (although at the moment the Ramblas is a mess) close to Metro stations to help you get around. Walkable to the Gothic quarter and the market. The staff were very helpful. The only negative thing was the room was small and a bit tight when you have large suitcases."

"This is an old hotel and that is the charm. The rooms are clean and typical for Europe with modern bathrooms and high quality toiletries. The service is what stands out and what you will remember. It's how 'it used to be,' and how it should be. People greet you by name at the check-in and are genuinely helpful and kind. The porter is quick and discreet, but you can tell has wisdom to offer if asked. The best amenity is the rooftop pool, deck and bar which serves delicious 'bikini' sandwiches and drinks, including a great non-alcoholic menu, You will enjoy looking at the Barcelona crowds from the roof as you admire the view of the harbor and Sagrada Familia."
