Unusually large room; clean, carpetted, tastfully furnished, comfortable bed, plush sofa for the TV (good, with streaming channels). Krupp coffee maker; bottled water, no kettle, fridge, or safe; no a/c, noisy fan. Shower room OK: antique basin tap broken and shower tap kept turning itself off, but hardly mattered. "Convenient stopover stay travelling down to Southern Europe. Friendly staff and v reasonable price. Restaurants nearby and Laon old town is worth looking around although up 200+ steps."

The balcony was small and dated but fine to sit out on for a drink. We had breakfast once which was nice. The pool is good for a refreshing dip but does get v busy at certain times.
