"The hotel is currently under construction, with a strong smell of wood and paint throughout the property. I had pre-booked it based on the pictures online—otherwise, I would never have chosen this place. The entire property feels empty, almost like I’m alone in the whole hotel, which made the experience even worse. For $232, this was extremely disappointing. I could easily get a similar type of hotel for around $120. Overall, it was overpriced and a very poor experience."

"I had a wonderful stay here for three days. The place is both beautiful and very comfortable, with spectacular decor that really stands out. What impressed me the most was the cleanliness, everything was spotless and well-maintained. The hospitality was exceptional. The supervisor was very kind, and Deban was especially helpful throughout our stay. We were also pleasantly surprised to receive complimentary soft drinks and snacks, which was a nice touch. It takes around 5mins walk to the bus...

"The Douglas is an amazing property, whether you're visiting Vancouver for work or fun. The rooms are modern and spacious. Every room has a Yeti cooler that you can borrow (picnics, shopping). The Victor was amazing, and the Casino was a fun way to end the night. "
