Our experience at this hotel was beyond disappointing, falling far short of the standard we've come to expect from our previous stays in Thailand. The pervasive issue of staff members engrossed in their mobile phones created an unpleasant atmosphere throughout our time here. Witnessing nearly every staff member glued to their screens was disheartening, to say the least.
Our visit to the Chao Leh Kitchen at the pool restaurant added to our frustration. Despite a lack of busyness, we endured a lengthy 30-minute wait for a simple cocktail, and our salads took over an hour to arrive. The waitress, realising their error, repeatedly emphasised the oversized portions, suggesting a realisation of their mistake.
Even simple requests, such as the need for new batteries for our room television remote, became exasperating. It took three attempts before someone finally addressed the issue, delivering nothing more than a packet of batteries.
The management's lack of control over the pool area shocked us. Witnessing inappropriate behaviour, including a man engaging in lewd acts by the pool in plain view of children and staff, was not only disturbing but also unacceptable. The overpowering smell of weed further marred our experience, making it difficult for those with respiratory issues, like myself, to enjoy the facilities.
