"Upfront, this is not 5 star hotel quality accomodation, it is closer to hostel accomodations, being a tied up dive boat. The cabin are big enough for a full size bed, and suitable for two people to do whatever you want to do in a bed. The river quiets down at night and there is no problem at all with sleeping, either for noise or for water movement. The great thing about this accomodation is location. It makes all the sites along the river easily accessible by one form or another of water...

"Amazing location right in the local market — full of life and great energy. The ferry is less than a 10-minute walk, which made exploring very easy. The staff were helpful, and even though the room decor is a bit dated, it was clean and comfortable. A memorable highlight was seeing local kindergarten kids using the hotel pool (kid’s pool) with their teachers ( morning period) — it added such a sweet and joyful touch. A solid stay with an authentic local vibe."

"Room we stayed in had a balcony where you can see the river. Large room. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Ate there for breakfast and sometimes dinner. Market near by to experience the street food. Ideal location to use water taxis which we utilized every day."

"Aurum The River Place has one of the best locations in Bangkok, right by the river with a stunning view of the Temple of Dawn (Wat Arun). The breakfast is excellent, and enjoying it while looking out over the river and the temple makes it even more special. Wonderful and friendly staff, who became like family. It’s located near high profile government buildings and is completely safe. Walking distance to the palace and temples. If there’s openings to stay here, I highly recommend booking. You will not be disappointed. "
