"Was ok"

"This property would likely have scored a 5 star rating, except for the check-in. When we arrived, the check-in at the front desk went very smoothly. However, when we hauled all of our luggage to our assigned room on the 5th floor, the room had not been serviced - the bed was messed up, there were towels on the bathroom floor, someone had left their glasses case on the nightstand, etc. So, I returned to reception and had to show pictures of the room to the reception person to prove my case, and...

"The room was clean. The staff was very nice and helpful with questions. Breakfast staff was familiar with gluten free needs. Rooms were pretty hot due to heat wave. Did appreciate the fan."

"Lovely comfy room and flexible air con so we could have the temperature we wanted. Check in busy and slow but staff pleasant. Didn't eat here so can't comment on food. Only annoyance was noisy guests in the corridor in the early hours. I'd have thought it would be common sense and respectful to talk quietly outside other people's rooms. Minutes from T2 so really convenient (also easy walk to train station). Access from arrivals (ground floor)."

"A nice place to stay either before or after a flight at Manchester Airport. Although a relatively new hotel it is starting to show signs of wear and tear in the rooms. The Nespresso machine in the room was great for coffee in the morning. The bar/restaurant area was busy and had a good atmosphere. Poorly signposted from T2 unlike other hotels. I think the first signs I saw were at the roundabout near the bus/train station. Followed Google maps as no advice was sent from the hotel, unlike the...

"Room was very clean and comfortable, thanks for putting in the fan. receptionist was very welcoming and efficient and a lot of fun, so the stay started well. Did not use the facilities so cant comment. Overall very happy and would recommend."

"With the weather being so hot the hotel didn't have air conditioning, even with fans the room was unbearable, hardly got any sleep over my 2 night stay. The hotel needs to have better provision for when it's this hot."

"The Old Hall hotel is a lovely old building, with all the charm you would expect. On arrival the reception staff were fantastic and helped us with parking arrangements. The room was lovely overlooking the Opera House. It was very hot whilst we were there but the room remained cool. The room facilities were good. I cant review the breakfast as the gas wasnt working in the hotel, and breakfast was served in the sister hotel next door."

"A lovely clean comfortable double room with access to snacks, tea and coffee, fresh milk and treats on every floor. Chilled water was free from reception. Breakfast was excellent with a choice of continental and cooked. All the staff were superb and very helpful. We will definitely stay again and highly recommend all at a reasonable price."
