"I didn’t expect much for the price but this place is the stuff of nightmares. The furniture looks like it was picked up off the side of the road. The chair by the desk was a flimsy wheeled chair, the kind you pick up for a couple of bucks because you know your kid is going to trash it anyway. "The hotel itself was nice, just as pictured & conveniently located, served its purpose. The room was nice a bit larger than expected & beautiful river view however to be a newer I was surprised that our initial room smelled like mildew/mold. The smell came from the bathroom which was right by the entrance so soon as you walk in it hit you. I believe due to the showers not having doors the water escapes into the flooring or somewhere. They graciously gave us another room which was better smell...

"Bathroom smelled funny and when we looked under the sink, it was covered in black mold and wall board was "not there". Mirror was worn and paint chipped off. On the other hand, breakfast was decent and the folks working there were very nice! In general terms, the room is basically suited for 1 person. There is very limited dresser/drawers to unpack clothes as it were. as a result, you kinda need to live out of the suitcase which we don't like."

"It’s an old building that probably hasn’t been renovated since the 80’s, so it lacks the amenities of modern places - but that aligns with the lower price. Room was spacious and bed comfortable enough. It would be nice, however, if they replaced the old carpets or made more effort to mitigate the stagnant/smoky odor from the rooms. My issue is that the room given to me hadn’t been cleaned - still had all the trash and dirty laundry in it from the previous occupants. The staff were nice...

"Albany Marriot is my new home whenever I travel to Albany. The rooms well kept. The bed and shower is AMAZING. The staff is phenomenal and very friendly. The hotel is just really nice and extremely well maintained. The location is also perfect for dinning and shopping. I recommend this hotel to anyone who is just looking for peace and relaxation."

"We had to ask for clean towels. The towels in the room were folded had hair on them and were stained. Bed was comfortable but bedding had burnt holes in them. I’d stay there again but would probably try a different Super Eight."
