Fabulous stay! They took wonderful care of us. The room was spacious, clean, and the kitchenette was easily the best I’ve seen. Any time I return to Pembroke, or have friends/family looking for a hotel, I will be recommending this one. Such kind, and warm employees as well. Far exceeded expectations!

Newish basic hotel. Average stay. On our way to Algonquin to camp so this was a 1 night stay. Pros: Meets basic needs. Good beds. Clean and new room. Has a kitchen with all the utensils and pots. Bathroom clean and has all you need. Nice touch with the free coffee / tea / hot cocoa machine. Cons: no breakfast, but you have a lot of choices around the hotel. Elevator smelled. Room we had with 2 queen beds was super cramped for 4 people. Room had a massive bulkhead over one of the beds - bad for tall people.

I booked the room at 23:30, online, on my way to the hotel after driving all evening, I just wanted to inhale some fast food, have a hot shower and get some rest for a few hours before heading out. However upon arriving, because I arrived after midnight, my room was cancelled and charged as a "No Show" ...30 minutes after booking the room. There was no option to check in Saturday and check out Saturday the same day before regular checkout of 11:00. SO...my credit card was charged twice, one being at a significantly higher rate than I had originally booked and only being in the room for less than 8 hrs....even though I was there before checkout at 11:00. Actually leaving before 11:00 checkout too! Well, I didnt shower because there were already dirty wash clothes left in the bottom of the shower, crumbs of some sort in the one bed, The air unit was on all night...not the A/C like I was informed....the actual air unit for other rooms. The room was loud, hot and stuffy because the actual A/C wasnt working, the ground level windows were screwed shut so it couldnt be open for fresh air. So much for a few hours of solid sleep. I was more exhausted leaving there then getting there. I talked to the front desk to rectify the issue before leaving and I was informed my credit card would only be charged for one night stay not the "No Show" I will not book with this place again! Very unsatisfied. I was a hotel manager for many years and my guest would have NEVER faced these challenges.
