Great option for solo travellers looking for a relaxing getaway (a.k.a - mum needs a quiet week away!)
Room amenities great, used private pool every day and air conditioning was strong. All very clean. Fixtures were mostly good, just “lived-in”. Shower pressure great, hot water great, however shower can be slow to drain/prone to flood. Housekeeping fixed that quick-smart though.
Bath sheets and beach towels provided, as well as a tote and sandals for carrying to the beach or the pool. Ample mineral water provided and refreshed daily. Block out curtains surround all windows. I appreciated the bug-repellant candle and coil. The bay view was beautiful, and wildlife such as birds/lizards/monkeys in the adjacent jungle fun to watch.
I recommend the private Manta Point snorkelling trip as a standout, and event dinners that are offered such as Christmas or New Years Eve.
All guest service staff were kind and welcoming. Housekeeping staff were consistent and fast. Every staff member I met at the resort said hello which was lovely. Cost of dining akin to what would be paid in $AUD, and of good quality.
Whilst the stay had its bumps for 5-Star, it was charming and shows authenticity in alignment with the remote island landscape. The luxury of the resort contrasts with the local way of life, and reminds us of the standard which we afford ourselves as tourists to the island is truly one of indulgence.
I will certainly be back with family in future.
