This is the best B & B I ever stayed in. The accommodation is superb, The house is beautifully decorated and adorned by marvellous paintings by a local artist. The hosts Pablo and Grove are friendly, welcoming and generous. The breakfast menu was excellent, everthing is homemade and in the afternoon we were offered tea, coffee and amazing cake. The only disadvantage is that you have to drive elsewhere in the evening for dinner though I believe the hosts can provide additional meals if requested. This is a wonderful place to stay

amazing stay at Sancreed House

We had a wonderful stay at Sancreed House recently. The Georgian house is very tastefully decorated throughout and is immaculate. Pablo and Grove made us feel so welcome and were so helpful. The bedroom is very spacious, beautifully decorated and comfortable. They prepared a fabulous breakfast which consisted of homemade bread, yogurt, pastries, croissants and even home made vegetarian sausages.The property and gardens are stunning and is conveniently positioned for visits anywhere in Penzance, Newlyn and surrounding areas.The heated indoor pool was a wonderful bonus.

Excellent à tous point de vue

Que ce soit le lieu en lui même véritable havre de paix hors du temps, la chambre magnifique, la piscine intérieure et bien évidemment le petit déjeuner, tout était parfait grâce à nos hôtes aux petits soins avec nous. Voilà un lieu raffiné tenu par des personnes de qualité parmi les plus recommandables que nous avons eu le plaisir de fréquenter. Parfait pour visiter le sud de la Cornouaille !

Couple/ birthday trip away.

Absolutely lovely place to stay. The couple that run /own it are fantastic. Very friendly and lovely to talk to. Breakfast was extremely good, all homemade. We will definitely be returning. 10 out of 10.

I couldn't have asked for more from the accomodation and the host. It was beautifully decorated, clean, spacious, with pool (with more facilities I am told due to be built) and delicious breakfast. Breakfast is so good I can eat here every meal. Hosts were very friendly and attentive, and amazing chef! Not in centre of town, but this is more than an ordinary B&B so ideal if you intend to just stay here and chill during your stay

Wonderful, tranquil, relaxing hideaway

Loved this place, tranquil, remote, relaxing with super attentive and interesting hosts who make every effort to make you welcome, comfortable and well fed! Vegetarian menu created from scratch by the accomplished hosts. If you truly want to get away from it all in a lovely setting, stay here :-)

Grove and Pablo were perfect hosts, they couldn’t do enough to make our stay perfect. The stunning Georgian property is 15 minutes from Penzance and 10 minutes from Newlyn which was lovely and has lots of good restaurants. Breakfast was amazing with lots to choose from and all home made by Pablo including the bread, pastries and the delicious savoury muffins. We had a wonderful, relaxing break.

This is the perfect place for a quick getaway. The breakfast and coffee is excellent and Grove and Pablo are the perfect hosts. The rooms are fantastic with modern bathroom fittings and the swimming pool is a bonus. Thanks for a great summer break!!

Sancreed House in Cornwall is a captivating Grade II listed Georgian former vicarage where history, luxury, and exceptional hospitality blend seamlessly. Rich in stories, the house has hosted notable artist and spies, and a former owner known for mingling with royals—a notorious wild child who adds intrigue to its past. Pablo and Grove, the exceptional proprietors, made my birthday extra special with a delicious Cornish cheeseboard and a beautifully prepared birthday cake. They offer a warm, attentive experience, with Pablo serving delightful vegetarian breakfasts, including homemade pasties, bread, and yogurt. The décor reflects a love for cats, art, and antiques, creating a sophisticated yet charming atmosphere. A short walk from the house leads to an ancient holy well, once believed to have healing properties and accompanied by a now-ruined chapel. Nearby, Sancreed church adds to the charm with stunning stained glass, intricate wooden carvings, and an old sundial. Inside, we found a touching memorial to Stanhope Forbes’ son, and outside, the grave of Elizabeth Stanhope. We felt more like cherished guests than visitors, with Pablo and Grove’s hospitality making our stay truly memorable. Their three cats, especially Mustaffa, added a playful touch. With ample parking, a heated pool, and plans for more amenities, Sancreed House is perfect for a relaxing retreat. We can’t wait to return to this enchanting haven.

Whilst only operating for only the last three months, the owners have made huge strides to providing an excellent experience. The room we had was large comfortable and very clean. The bathroom was very well appointed and the shower was fantastic with great pressure. We knew they had a large heated swimming pool but sadly our stay was short and we never had chance to enjoy it. The grounds are well groomed and the property is in a secluded and quiet hamlet. We know the have plans for future development including a sauna and steam room, so the owners are still heavily investing to really improve the experience further. I have no hesitation in recommending a stay at Sancreed House.

Wow, where do I begin? Sancreed house is truly beautiful. Grove & Pablo have put so much in to making the space wonderful - even down to the scent! Everything has been so well thought through. The room itself was stunning. Somewhere you could completely unwind. Everything you could need was provided - plenty of space for belongings, a small fridge, tea and coffee, a hairdryer and even some slippers which were a lovely touch. Looking out on to the gardens whilst having breakfast each morning was a great way to start our day. Breakfast was freshly made each morning. Mushrooms on toast and fresh fruit with homemade yoghurt was my favourite! We also couldn’t forget the freshly baked blueberry and lemon cake made by Pablo which we enjoyed on arrival - wow! We used the pool during our stay and really enjoyed having access to this space. Thank you both so much for a wonderful little stay before baby comes. We hope to return again next time we need a luxury retreat! Chloe & Mike.
