The hotel is in a stunning location and our room had a fabulous view over the bay. Our initial room was on the third floor in a wing where the lift was out of order. Thankfully we were offered a better option in the other wing, after pointing out our mobility limitations.
There were a couple of issues at the hotel, which were sorted out after conversations with the duty managers, who did their best to help and compensate.
Breakfast was superb and a good spread to suit all needs. I might suggest a coffee machine or two might have sped things up when the single barista was under pressure!
We would have liked to have used the outdoor patio area on the bayside by the pool, but there were never any free beds as many had been reserved by towels and books!!
(Perhaps a 4-hour reservation system might be fairer to those wishing to spend some time outside? )
The restaurant on the bayside would not allow us to sit front row for drinks before others had reserved the table for dinner later the same evening, so we went elsewhere,
It’s a very busy village full of day trippers - which is fully understandable given the beauty. Much better early or late when it’s quieter and it’s possible to really appreciate the place.
