"Wow such a stunning location right on lake Luzern. We had lakefront room with balcony. Beautiful location about 15 minutes drive outside of downtown Luzern. It was too cold to use the pool but they have a nice relaxing wellness center with sauna. They have an outdoor hot tub but apparently you had to reserve in advance (which was not explained when we made reservation) so unfortunately we were not able to use. "Only complaint - hotel in a massive renovation, not clearly communicated at Expedia site - ended up in a room facing afternoon sun, outside 30C plus, inside way above that as cleaners had not bothered to close the shades. A noisy fan did not help. Find it very disappointing that £440 per night hotel has no air con (and when we asked will not have as old building is protected and no air con can be installed. Our first visit was 1994, and many times thereafter."

"Its my 3rd time stay at Ibis Luzern. And always happy to come back this hotel. The location only 5 minutes using a bus from central luzern station (walking around 15 minutes). The room is good and the price so reasonable. They provide a microwave, hot water (coffee and tea) in lobby area. They give a Luzern pass too, so you can enjoy around luzern with free pass. "

"Very accessible to public transport, a huge park with lots of walking trails and grocery stores. Very Quick response from the property manager (very friendly and understanding) when we had concerns and needed to make arrangements. She’s very communicative and helpful - The apartment is very clean, equipped with essential items for our stay."

"If you’re looking for a reasonable place to stay near Lucerne, this is it. The train is a block away and gets you into the city center in five minutes. There’s a great breakfast every morning. And you’ll have plenty of money left over to do what you want in Lucerne and the surrounding areas. My only complaint is that the beds are very firm, so I’d recommend sleeping on your duvet and requesting an extra top sheet - we did and it made all the difference."

"Very clean large room for Lucerne. The bathroom was massive and very clean. The hotel overall almost feels like you are staying at a 5 star hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful and about a 5 minute walk to the lake."

"Great position on the Lake with easy access into Luzern, CHF4 each way. The rooms are spacious and well equipped with standalone Aircon which proved useful during our visit. Be aware most room do not have an unrestricted view of the lake due to a property in front of the hotel. Breakfast is taken across the road at the old hotel, but is good. The restaurant is in the same location across the road and we had a reasonable meal there. There is also a good Brazilian restaurant nearby. Be aware...

Le personnel accueillant et souriant, nous avons le droit a une carte pour tous les transports gratuits avec les horaires du funiculaire et bus a l'arrivée n'oubliez pas de redemander si vous n'avez pas eu le mail ! Petit déjeuner salé/sucré avec pas mal de choix. Seul et vraiment seul bémol : les oreillers sont horribles 😁😁"
