I wouldn't rate this as a four star hotel, compared to other four stars I've stayed in. The room decor is tired and there's limited extras in the room, eg no biscuits or sundries you sometimes get. My room was over the boiler and although I slept well (with ear plugs which I always take) the vibrations kept me awake on my second night. However, this is the best hotel I've stayed in Peterborough. The downstairs is comfortable and characterful. The staff are excellent and that makes up for a lot. The breakfast was pleasant but could be improved.

All staff very friendly . Nice clean room - I looked at all the usual missed bits . The room was really hot , a team member did try and turn the radiator off for me but it didn’t work unfortunately. I could open the window and there was a fan . I would certainly stay again .

The Bull is in a great location for Peterborough city centre. Close to shops, restaurants and the cathedral. The staff were friendly and professional. The bar was nice, a good selection of drinks. They were kind enough to make us sandwiches well after midnight. Unfortunately the rooms are quite tired, looking quite grubby. The car park was also partially flooded.

Late decision to stay in Peterborough after train problems/engineering etc. Good central location and only a 5 minute walk from train station. Nice comfy room and bed. And it was exactly what I was looking for. Very good value too

The exterior and foyer of the hotel look great. The rooms are ok, but virtually no soundproofing. Window wouldn’t shut properly. There was a large military party in the hotel. My corridor only had 8 rooms, I was the only room not part of the military group. I was woken up at 4:30am by drunk men shouting outside my door. This went on for half an hour. I told reception in the morning. They didn’t seem to care. As a woman travelling on my own, having a large group of drunk men shouting in the corridor outside my room was very unsettling. I’m not sure why they allocated me a room with that lot.

Warm welcome from reception. Excellent service in the restaurant. Good choice for evening meal, nicely presented and very tasty. Room was comfortable, I slept very well. Hotel is in a good location.

No sleep due to a massive weeding and my room was right above the wedding was moved to the front but between 12am and 3.30am massive fights etc right outside my window when I went to reception at 3am I was told to call the police me a guest! Phone didn’t work in the room as well and sash window that was covered in dirt and banging with the wind all night!!! No sleep at all

I had a little trouble finding the car park but the receptionist was brilliant in helping me out and giving me a pre-printed map and an accurate post code for my SatNav. Check-in was seamless. Food was excellent. Wonderful ambience in the bar. Comfy room.

Comfortable and central.

Central city location, just a short stroll to the New Theatre, and Lido. Comfortable (though dated) bedrooms. Welcoming communual bar and lounge facilities. Free on site parking was a bonus. We booked two double rooms for two nights. Staff were very pleasant and accommodating, and by prior arrangement, allocated us adjacent rooms.

Nightmare to find the place!!!

The place itself is terrible to find. The post code on the site is wrong, the hotel said they were having it corrected, I was at the hotel 5 months ago and they had the same incorrect post code back then so it took me a long time to find it. I had give the hotel a call twice for directions so they obviously haven’t had it corrected. It’s fuel and customer tome that’s being wasted. As a result, we were late to our evening event.

Tosi hieno aula ja pub. Hyvä full English aamupala. Hyvä sijainti. Huoneen ikkuna ei mennyt kiinni kunnolla, ja pyysin 2xpäivässä että se korjattaisi. Sille ei kuitenkaan tehty mitään koko aikana, eikä seuraava vuoro ollut kertaakaan tietoinen koko asiasta. Aamiaismaksujen kanssa oli myös sekoilua, ilta- ja aamuvuorolaista eri mielipiteet hinnasta ja maksuista. Suihkusta ei tullut kuin tulikuumaa vettä.

Hotel not easy to locate due to one way system and car park a further journey to find once booked in. Staff an food excellent,rooms have all that is required but still could be updated more.Limited drawer space to unpack and use if staying one night. We do appreciate this is an old building

Great hotel, Secure parking (included in your price) Opt for a room with Air Con, as it was so very hot in the room. It did have a portable fan for use. The breakfast was average. Nothing spectacular about the breakfast. When we got to the cooked breakfast they’d ran out of most items and had to wait for freshly cooked items. NOT SELF SERVICE. Positives, Friendly helpful staff, lovely old building and decorated nice and tastefully. Beds were comfortable (pillows weren’t) Car is in a secure car park with locked gates at night. Clean hotel throughout. Staff very accommodating, switched our room for second night due to heat/no air con.

Every as reflecta a good hotel environment, courteous staff and willing and ready to assist. Bathroom very clean and neat. Great ambiance and very cloae to major shops
