"Some of the desk staff was helpful but some were very rude. The staff in the restaurant were great There was a lot of homeless people wandering around the grounds including wanting for guests to go through sliding doors and following them in and checking the trash cans inside and any that were in hallways where rooms are."

"Very relaxing place. It’s clean but did see a few insects inside the room of questionable origin. Overall we had a nice stay. Beds comfy, lots of toiletries. The pools are clean. Water crystal clean. Would recommend."

"Very clean & quiet. Nice, basic, no frills. Older and a little worn, firm mattress in the King cabin. Nice to have a dedicated parking space. A short drive (not walking distance)from the village or grocery. No onsite staff- just online registration and text messages with someone working remotely- so no recommendations for where to eat, get coffee etc. Overall good value."

"This is such a perfect place to go to Joshua Tree. It very closed to several restaurants and supermarket. You can get free flow of ice cube during summer and you get an intercontinental bfast (no butter for the bread but it's fine 😁). All in all, we are so pleased with our stay there. "

"I liked the Lake front access is very convenient. I felt the breakfast area was not prepared in advance of breakfast time, the coffee maker was so slow it took 10-12 minutes just to make 1/8 of a pot of coffee. Not much of a selection for food to eat readily available for breakfast. It may have just been a very busy time the day before and a staff trainee was on board. I completely understand. The room was great! Built-in gas fireplace very nice and cozy. It would be better if the TV stand...

"I enjoyed my 2 night stay at this Condo. I felt like i was at home in my 1 bedroom, 1 bath, living room, kitchen, stove, refrigerator, and dining table. There was an indoor pool, and an outdoor spa. They offer activities also. The lake is a few steps away. it is tucked away from traffic, nice and quiet. I would recommend this place to Families, solo travelers, couples,"

"The room was half ass cleaned. There were no pillowcases on the pillows, the air conditioner filters were dirty as all hell, and the shower was so freaking noisy and water pressure was literally me zero!"

"Although a modest motel, the High Desert is clean. It is conveniently located in joshua tree town and close to west entrance of the park. Didn't use the pool as it was too early in the season."

"These good reviews must be fake…. Pictures of this place look decent here on Expedia. But it was the exact opposite. There’s probably a reason this place doesn’t have pictures of the outside of the property. It’s very dumpy. Also everything was filthy on the inside. Build ups of grime in places, ants everywhere, walls were nasty and the shower was falling apart. Bed sheets had brown stains. The bedroom was very warm because the AC is only in the front room. Felt so gross staying there. We stayed...
