"Villa Borobudur is set in a stunning location, nestled in beautiful green forests with views of distant volcanos. It had 2 large pools with infinity edges, overlooking the scenery. Staff at Villa Borobudur couldn’t have done more to make us feel welcome. We were greeted with warmth every time we had any interactions. "Convenient to go to Malioboro and for buying small groceries, affordable meals. Hotel is at the back of the fancier Mercure hotel, a bit dated but the staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast buffet was delicious and offered variety. However, the towels were gray and thinning, there were stains on the bathroom walls, but worse of all was the pool that was surrounded by tarpaulin walls and not at all like the pictures. "

"We really enjoyed our 6 night stay at Alamanda. The staff were so friendly and looked after us well. Nothing was ever a bother and they really made our trip special. The included breakfasts were yummy with fruit, toast, cereal, yoghurt, juice, tea/coffee and the choice of cooked options prepared for you (eggs, pancakes, omelettes etc.). I'm gluten-free and had no problems with food options. The 3 course dinners were great and so cheap!! The cooks made great cheese toasties and fries whenever...

"Hotel was clean. Our room was very clean, and comfortable. We stayed for three days because it was clean. Great breakfast options. In parts like the edges of the dining area the carpet was ripped and the hotel is a bit on the older side. Needs more maintenance. But otherwise our room was clean and enjoyed our stay. "
