"Close to one of the Hawaiian Heritage National parks. The island only about a 2 1/2 hr drive from Kona to Hilo so easy to epwrience the different climatic conditions on the island. The resort was well kept and had good security. The unit was roomy and had an expansive balcony porch for alfresco eating or just enjoying the view and listening to the birds. "Great place for a family. Nice pool, good location, great staff and food trucks are a sweet perk to make life easy. If you’re up for walking a mile the beach is right there. My wife has one complaint. The bullfrog was super loud at 3:00 am every morning…so plan for that."
